A delve into Jamie’s 30-Minute Meals revealed this rather delicious salmon noodle broth. The first time I tried it was when the husband made it for us and a couple of friends. They raved about it, and promptly went and bought the book. It’s been a regular fixture on the Gas Mark 5 dinner table ever since.
Jamie’s full 30-minute menu includes a bean sprout salad and a lychee dessert. Perfect if you’ve got guests, but I skipped these in favour of the star attraction as it was just me and the husband.
The dish is super easy to make, and for anyone who doesn’t believe Jamie’s 30 Minutes Meals are doable in 30 minutes, this one definitely is, albeit without the salad and dessert.
It’s simply a case of blitzing the ingredients for the salmon cooking sauce, throwing it in the oven and maximum heat and whipping up a super easy Asian inspired broth, nicely spicy with ginger and chilli. It packs a punch in the flavour department and fills you up without over filling you – if you know what I mean. Real satisfying stuff.
The verdict from the husband: ‘Deeee-licious.’ And I have to agree!
